I took the three little ones to the Long Beach Aquarium while Braden was at his soccer tournament at the convention center. They loved the "nemo" tank and the scuba diver. Tanner loved petting the baby sharks. As usual, no one looks at the camera, and everyone says "cheese" while they're looking around. Jensen thinks it's funny to close his eyes. NOT FUNNY!!

Forgot. Carley and Jensen had three weeks of swim lessons. They loved it, and Jensen is improving but still can't blow water out his nose, so he won't swim very far. Carley is my most stubborn child and does what she wants. We had fun going to the children's museum with all the kids and out Texas cousins.

We're still here

Wow do I need to catch up. I just wanted to share some fun pics of what we've been up to. We've been enjoying our summer, and got to spend 2 weeks in california, doing the things we miss. We also finally got our house after 10 long months of waiting. The first thing we did was put in a yard. The kids would just sit out on the deck watching the guys work. It was fun to have all the trucks going in the yard. We are just hanging out, playing a lot of soccer, and enjoying not having to wake up early. Especially mom.

Candy Apples

WE finally got to see Whitney and Gordon's house while we were in California, and it is awesome!  We all went over for dinner, and then the fun came.  Whitney made me make the candy for candy apples.  It all started off great, and they looked really cute, but we used the thermometer wrong, and cooked the candy mixture to long, resulting in a hard shell on the apples.  They still tasted good.  It was like having a sucker over the apple.  Now I know what to do next time.

Disneyland

Instead of blogging our whole trip to California, which was so fun, I wanted to post these pictures of our two days at Disneyland.  It was so good to get back.  Carley was way into the princesses, Jensen loved, and remembered all his favorite rides, and getting a snake in adventure land, Tanner went on Indiana Jones for the first time, and made sure not to look into the eyes of the statue, Brynn loved any fast ride, and Braden loved his Turkey leg, and yes, it was good.  Whitney and Gordon joined us the second day, and they were very patient with us.  We all had a great time, and can't wait to go back again!!

We are so proud of Brynn.  She just finished her first big project in sewing class.  She has loved it, and is now making clothes for Carley and Jensen's stuffed animals.

Fall Happenings

We had a fun week last week.  My mom and Jillian and her two kids came out to Utah for the week.  It was a little chilly, but beautiful.  We took the kids to Thanksgiving point, and to a lot of soccer games.  Carley rode a horse for the first time, and I accidentally erased all my video and pics of her, Jensen, and Berkeley trying to figure out my new camera.  Oh well.  My mom was great.  She babysat almost everyday.  I think we ate lunch and dinner out every day except for Sunday, we saw a movie in the middle of the day and felt like we were ditching school, and we got to go shopping in Salt Lake till our feet hurt and we were out of money.  Thanks Mom for spoiling us and giving us a break to remember that we are still girls.

Braden's soccer team made it all the way to State Cup finals, but lost in the last minute 3-2.  It was so close and we were so proud of him and his team.  It has been so fun to watch him and the other kids progress.  He literally dribbled through three players at the end of the game.  All the kids were good sports about going, as long as there were plenty of treats; and you'll notice, Jensen has a new obsession with leaves.  He thinks they are great, and is always picking them up and saying how beautiful they are.  It's pretty funny.
Unfortunately, I think fall is almost gone because it snowed yesterday. Yikes!!

Love your house!

I just wanted to give Whitney and Gordon props for a job well done.  I haven't seen it in person yet, but your home looks amazing, and am in awe that you guys did almost all of it yourselves.  That takes true patience, vision, and as I saw, a lot of RED BULL.  Can't wait to visit you guys.  I promise, my kids won't touch anything.

I don't have any fun pics right now, but wanted to give an update.  We are full swing into soccer and if we aren't an official soccer family I don't know what is.  I was lucky enough to find an old BYU soccer buddy at pre-school of all places, and she invited me to play on her indoor team.  The first two games have been painful; I'm not going to lie, but I am so looking forward to getting back into shape and doing something that I absolutely LOVE!!  Jon is playing on two indoor teams with old friends, and is coaching Tanner and Brynn's teams.  We are definitely the old people out on the field but we don't care; it's still fun.

Braden is loving his new club team and can't get enough.   When he's not with his team, he's outside practicing in the street.  Brynn is a goal-scoring crazy girl on her team, and usually gets called for an elbow to the side.  She has a lot of heart and hussle.  Tanner is hilarious to watch because he's always trying new moves out on the field, and actually pulls them off sometimes.  He's struggling a bit with listening to Jon, but hopefully will get used to it.  Jensen and Carley are good sports, as long as we have movies and sippies in the car, coloring books, and lots of snacks and treats at the games.
Last Sat. Jon and I went on a date to the US/El Salvador game at the Real stadium.  The kids were mad that we didn't take them.  It was a world cup qualifier and was so fun!  We saw some friends there and had decent seats.  The only bad thing was getting beer thrown down at us and landing in our heads.
So right now I don't have much to write about except for soccer.  Let's hope we don't all get burned out. NEVER!!!
