I don't have any fun pics right now, but wanted to give an update.  We are full swing into soccer and if we aren't an official soccer family I don't know what is.  I was lucky enough to find an old BYU soccer buddy at pre-school of all places, and she invited me to play on her indoor team.  The first two games have been painful; I'm not going to lie, but I am so looking forward to getting back into shape and doing something that I absolutely LOVE!!  Jon is playing on two indoor teams with old friends, and is coaching Tanner and Brynn's teams.  We are definitely the old people out on the field but we don't care; it's still fun.

Braden is loving his new club team and can't get enough.   When he's not with his team, he's outside practicing in the street.  Brynn is a goal-scoring crazy girl on her team, and usually gets called for an elbow to the side.  She has a lot of heart and hussle.  Tanner is hilarious to watch because he's always trying new moves out on the field, and actually pulls them off sometimes.  He's struggling a bit with listening to Jon, but hopefully will get used to it.  Jensen and Carley are good sports, as long as we have movies and sippies in the car, coloring books, and lots of snacks and treats at the games.
Last Sat. Jon and I went on a date to the US/El Salvador game at the Real stadium.  The kids were mad that we didn't take them.  It was a world cup qualifier and was so fun!  We saw some friends there and had decent seats.  The only bad thing was getting beer thrown down at us and landing in our heads.
So right now I don't have much to write about except for soccer.  Let's hope we don't all get burned out. NEVER!!!

I found my pictures

The camera was working this morning so I hurried and downloaded everything before it was too late.  Just the first day of school, Jensen on his new bike, and Carley's awesome hair.

I can't believe this.  I went to post pictures and the camera said "memory card error, no image".  I'm so mad!!!!!  I'm buying a new camera tomorrow!

I can't believe how soon we start school!!

I thought I would hate school starting on Aug. 20th which was also Jensen's birthday, but I was ready, and so were the kids.  They were anxious to get in and meet new people, and I was anxious to get them out of the house.  Not having a yard kind of limits us.  Jensen also started pre-school and learned on the first day that animals don't go to school.  He told everyone this.  the kid's school is huge with 1200 kids!  It is very nice though, and so far they like their teachers and we were impressed with how well things were organized.  There is also a law in Utah that the teachers are not allowed to ask for school supplies, it is all voluntary.  The kids had stuff waiting for them on their desks; this was different for us, so we saved some money.

For Jensen's birthday we went to McDonalds and had a little party.  He had a Diego cake, spongebob napkins and Micky Mouse plates and goody bags.  He picked everything out, and now that we don't have a McDonald's close by, this was a huge treat.  They had a great play place and all his Utah cousins came.  He got a new bike and still needs a lot of practice, and he got some games and toys.  It makes it so much fun for the mom when the kids get so excited!

We made it another week in Utah.  I've lost my momentum to unpack.  I feel like we can't do much more until we find out if we're staying in this house for good.  We met more people at church today.  So far, Brynn has the most girls age in the neighborhood so she is a happy girl.  Braden loves his soccer team and we go to his first tourn. this week.  I got to go to Urban outfitters and Anthropologie this weekend which made me a happy girl.  Jill and Whit you would love Gateway, the outside mall in salt lake.  Hope everyone is doing great.

Well we made it to Utah.  Last Thursday about 1 in the morning we drove in.  It has been a crazy three months.  Selling our house, twice, doing all the repairs, closing escrow, looking for a new house, having a rental fall through, finding a new house to rent, making an offer on that house, still waiting, going crazy not knowing if I should unpack everything or not, packing and more packing, unpacking, vacation, signing up for everything, and finally getting the internet hooked up today!  I promise now that we're far away my blogging attempts will be more heartfelt.  Hope everyone is doing well and I'll do my best to keep updated.

More pics

I forgot to say, the picture of Braden is him holding his shot so he could eat all his Halloween candy.

Trick-or-treat!!

I'm sure everyone did the same thing on Halloween and everyone thinks their kids looked the cutest, so I'll just join in with the rest of the crowd.  After some warm chile and cornbread to "warm us up" we went out into the 75 degree night to collect some great treats.  Carley even got a can of diet coke, which I loved, but we had to take it out of her bag because it was too heavy.  She was obsessed with the candy and loved every minute.  She was even calling her bag a purse.  Jensen enjoyed his costume the most, jumping around and saying ribbit.  He was also very good at saying "knock knock" at people's doors instead of actually knocking.  Pretty funny.  Tanner was a ninja, perfect for him, and didn't hurt too many with his num-chucks.  Of course they were broken by the end of the night.  Brynn was cute as a button, very polite, and loved posing in her costume.  Braden was happy to hang out with his friends and was excited to go trick-or-treating on his own, can you believe he is old enough to do that?!  Thanks to Ashley, G&G and G great, and Whitney and Gordon for helping pass out candy, helping with the kids, and having fun with us.

My kids are so talented!!!

Is Fall here yet?

It's too hot for October to start.  We had a great first month at school.  The three older kids love their teachers and are doing great.  Braden is learning to count carbs and he gives himself his shot at school every day.  We are so proud of him.

We are in full swing with Braden and Brynn playing club this year, and Tanner playing clinic (the little kids).  He has about three moves he does already, a mother couldn't be more proud.  Jon is coaching Brynn's team so that is a treat for her.  I am helping out with Braden's team, it's a lot of work, but fun to be there.
Last week the kids had their primary program in Sacrament meeting.  It was great to be able to work with them, and the rest of the kids.  We had some special musical numbers, and all the kids said their parts so well.
We are so grateful for our children, and I'm not ashamed to admit they do drive me insane sometimes, but for the most part it's fun.
