This is Clay and Carley getting into all the dvd's at the Warner's house. They are trouble makers already.

Christmas is coming!

Is everyone as excited as we are about the Christmas Holiday? We had a great time in Arizona last week for Thanksgiving with our family. Robin was in charge of the meal, and it was so yummy as usual. I think after four full days we might have worn out welcome a little. We had fun going to the movies, golfing, hanging out, playing uno and dominos, (I can't believe we didn't play nertz!!) eating out, going to the mesa temple, which was a first for Jon and I, and running the Turkey trot, a 10k. It was my first one, and I was pretty proud of myself. Jon ran it in 48min., Jillian in 56 or 57, and I ran in 58. Then we went and played soccer for an hour which is actually pretty fun and challenging with the kids now that they are older. Another highlight was going to the ribbon store to get hairbows made for Carley. You go in, pick out your ribbon, and they make the bows for you. A whole store full of ribbon, who knew!
Tonight we decorated our tree which just seems like the official start of the Christmas season. I hope everyone enjoys time with their friends and family, and stops to think about our savior Jesus Christ, his birth, and what a special thing it means to all of us.

new website

just to let you know, I started an iweb page. I also have a web gallery. Using these I can put more pictures and videos on for those of you that really care about us or really miss us. I'll try to update it periodically, but who knows how it will go. the website is web.mac.com/jon.bailey, and our gallery, which has a slide show on it right now is gallery.mac.com/jon.bailey. I know this is a lot of info, but I am amazed at how easy it is to stay connected now a days. We really are blessed to have such great technology. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween!

Was Halloween fun for everyone? We had so much fun carving pumpkins, going to our trunk-or-treat at church, going to the pumpkin patch, and of course, going trick-or-treating Halloween night after a warm bowl of homemade chili. I only make it once a year on Halloween and is a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember. I'm sure everyone has some special memory of going to Grandma and Grandpa Dunn's house for chili and trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. We liked it because the houses were closer together than on La Bajada where it really was scary and creepy going trick-or-treating. As you can see, we had a Nacho Libre, a pirate girl, black spider man, superman, and a little pumpkin. Dominique and Roxy (his dog), and Grandpa Dave came with us too. Grandma Cathy and Grandma Great stayed with Carley and passed out candy. Jensen learned quickly what was going on, and had a blast. The other kids just went as fast as they could I guess thinking they were going to miss out on something if they didn't run. This year was monumental for nine year old Braden, who for the first time asked to use a pillow case for his candy. Hope everyone had a great time with your families and friends.

october 21

I have a lot to catch up on. A couple weeks ago Jon ran in the St. George marathon and did great. He ran it in 3:42 and we went up to Utah for the weekend. The kids had a blast and we got to spend some time with our friends the Monsons. They are always so nice to take us in. The next week we went on a Mexican cruise with Jon's high school friends and their wives. We were gone without the kids for six days. It was so much fun, I almost felt like I was in high school again. We are grateful that we knew the kids were in good hands with their aunt Jillian and Carley with aunt Heather. We are finally at the tail end of putting our house back together but things go pretty slow when the rest of life doesn't stop. The kids are doing great. They are having fun playing soccer. Tanner is in tae kwon doe and loves it. We were hoping it would help control his energy, but it has seemed to have taken the opposite effect. Oh well, he likes it. Jensen woke up last week and decided to start talking in sentences. We love listening to him repeat everything we say, and Carley just woke up and decided to start crawling. She gets around pretty well now. Time to get the gate out. Hope everyone is looking forward to a fun and exciting Halloween.

september 30th

Well we have had quite the roller coaster ride these past few weeks. Jensen, our two year old decided it would be fun to fill the toilet with toys and flush them down. I fished an entire puzzle out and some connect 4 pieces as the toilet overflowed and flooded our bathroom, family room, and garage. The kids were excited because we stayed in a hotel for a few days while a cleaning company came and disinfected and dried everything out. Mom was frustrated because it happened on the day before the first day of school. Dad had to go to Walmart at 10pm and bring all the school supplies back to the hotel. Now three weeks later, we have new carpet, a random sewage pipe in our yard that the plumbers dug up, and had to completely re-do the downstairs bathroom. It's funny how something so huge can come from a little puzzle piece and the mind of a toddler.
The kids love their new classes and teachers. Tanner, 4, is in his second year of pre-school, Brynn is in 2nd grade, and Braden is a big fourth grader. He has text books now! Jensen loves going to "school" at the day-care while mom works out in the gym and Carley just loves it when anyone plays with her. She is six months old and just decided to start sitting up and thinks she can crawl. Time flies! We are loving soccer season. Jon is busy helping to coach Brynn's team and we are all busy driving to crazy places for Braden's new club team. Tanner just started Tae kwon doe and we are hoping that it will give him an outlet for his "energy". He is also playing soccer and really excells in the goalie position. He dives all over the place. We FINALLY got our new computer, so I am going to really try to be a better blogger, so don't give up on us! see you soon.

Aug. 14th summer

Summer is almost over and I still don't have a new computer. I hate it but I'm trying to be patient. We have been so busy doing nothing if that makes any sense. We have had so much fun this summer going to the beach every week, swimming wherever we can, going to the circus, hanging out with friends and family, and going to camps. Brynn got to go to horse camp with her cousin Emma and the time of her life. Braden went to two soccer camps and has been practicing with his new club team since July. He can't get enough soccer, I wonder where he gets it from. Jon is ready for the kids to go back to their early school bedtime and I am having fun not having a real schedule. Tomorrow we will fly to Salt Lake and then drive to Rexburg Idaho, home of Napolean Dynamite, for a trip to see Jon's cousin and to hang out in the beautiful nature. We'll see how it goes.

School is out. I have mixed feelings about this. It's fun to hang out and not really have a schedule, but it is also hard to find to get things done when the kids are home all day. Braden just finished 3rd grade, and Brynn finished 1st grade. Tanner finished his first year of pre-school and is ready for anything. We are looking forward to swimming wherever, trips to the beach, going to Utah and the beach house, and all our various camps. Hopefully Jensen and Carley won't be too jealous of having to share their mom all day with the other three. Wow, five kids! It still sounds weird to say that.
